Ever Seen a UFO ? You Won't !
Aliens. Now that seems like a good blog for the next aeon.
Why is it that modern day peoples and scientists alike seem to decry and defame those who "claim" to have seen a UFO. By its true definition, the term "UFO" means "Unidentified Flying Object". To me, and the many others, this means an object in the sky that is as yet unexplainable. It does not necessarily imply that a being from another world has landed in your front yard. Thats just the neighbours cat pooping in your garden again.
If one thinks of the time scale of the Universe, then it is relatively easy to form the conclusion, that life may have started in some other part of the Universe not local to the Human species. Given this, it is also easy to deduce that other intelligences may already be out there. And thriving. Some of which may have been here. Some of which may have not. Some of which may have even passed by our little planet without our knowledge.
I can hear the detractors spires fall, as they band together to eradicate the beast from the village !!!
Take this analogy for example.
You are an Ant (nothing personal) . A tiny little Black one. You live in an ant hill. You are the Queen Ant. One day you decide that you dont like your ant hill, and decide to move house and build a new one. About 100 meters away. You put out the order, and you and all the other little Ants move to the new ant hill site and begin to build a new one.
Meanwhile, about 1 kilometer away, there is another ant hill. This ant hill has been there for many years. When this ant hill was first built, it was only a small ant hill. But, over time, it has grown to be quite large. And now contains many many ants. These ants are not Black. They are Brown.
Now, one of the tasks that you, as Queen of the ant hill, has to perform is to have worker ants build the tracks that all your ants will follow.
Meanwhile, at the other ant hill, this task was completed many years ago. And the tracks are firmly established.
Now is the time for thinking !
Your ant hill, or civilisation, is only just beginning to be built. The other ant hill and its civilisation has been firmly established for many years.
Do you, as Queen of one of the ant hills know that the other ant hill exists ? And, does the other Queen of the other ant hill know that you exist ? No. Neither of you can. The distance is far to great for a few ants to transverse.
But, a small bird knows of both of you !!!
One day, while out on a scouting patrol, a few of you ants are attacked by the small bird. And some are taken away. These ants run back to you and tell you the following story.
"Queen Ant, we were out scouting and something came down from the sky and took our friends away".
You say, "Thats Preposterous. What did this thing look like."
They answer, "Well it seemed to have feet, but they didn't look like feet. It seemed to have eyes, but they didn't look like eyes. It seemed to have a head and body, but it didn't look like a head and body".
And you finally say, "You are all relived of your duties, go see the ant doctor, you are all suffering from ant disease".
And off they trot, the laughing stock of your ant hill.
Meanwhile, on the same day, at the other ant hill, the little bird lands. He has been here before. The ants at this ant hill are ready for him. They have changed over time and have bred soldier ants to protect the colony. Many years ago, a wise ant wrote a book about the bird, and the ants have been reading it ever since. This time they are ready for the bird. And the soldier ants go out to meet him. A few are lost, but they eventually drive him away by biting his feet. However, many many ants still do not believe that the bird even exists, and laugh at those that do.
Now, the ants have seen something, but they can't explain what it was that they seen. They know that they seen something, but are laughed at, decryed and defamed. This kind of action goes on for many years in both the ant colonies.
Meanwhile, every now and then, when all is calm and the worker ants are out working in their little groups, a big brown bird appears swooping down from the sky. It chases the little black bird away. This bird quickly takes its feed of ants and moves onto the next ant collony. Yours.
On this day, some of your worker ants run back to you and explain, that some of the worker ants just disappeared. They never seen a thing. One moment they were there, the next they wern't.
Okay. Now here is the heavy part.
What you need to do here is think about this story and remember the basic way it pans out.
After you have done that, supplant the Ants colonies for two different intelligent species on two differrent worlds.
Supplant the small black bird for a different species altogether. And supplant the big brown bird for another species altogether.
The book the little black ant wrote is analogous to the Bible.
The brown ant colony is a more technically advanced civilisation than the black ant colony.
The black bird is a vastly superior civilisation to both.
And the brown bird is the civilisation who is superior to all.
Now reread the title of this blog.
