There’s no fate but what we make for ourselves !

The Internet ! What is it ? Really ???

What is the Internet? I was told once ( or twice! ) . By people that thought that I knew jack. Hmmm. Interesting concept there ! I know one thing. The Internet is not the be all and end all of everything. And I know another thing ! That everything is definately NOT on the Internet !

Maybe, thats the whole process of the Internet. To become a vast repository of decentralised information that is obtainable to a vast majority of the Earths populace.

Or, should that be, the last suppository for the information stored by the Earths populace ? Interesting concept there !!!!!!

I remember a time. A time of chaos. (Whoops, sorry, thats out of a movie) . I remember a time when the Internet wasn't there. I was but a wee nipper (metaphorically speaking of course, not physically. Although,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have asked a lady or two (or three) if they would ablige me by becomming a wee nipper. LOL) Interesting concept there !!!!!!

No, I shall digress back to my original train of thought. The Internet!

I shall, tell all and sundry, here and now, that the Inernet is a vast and quantifiable behemoth, that may eventually become Humanities representation of a Deity. Now that is an interesting concept !!!

Why do I think that, one may ask. Well, its just an extrapolation of the Internets current tasks and duties to Humanity. How many of us now just do a search when we have a WTF moment (a WTF moment, is a moment when a person asks the question, "what the **** ?". As opposed to an answer that a person has to another, when another person does something stupid. This is called an FM moment, where FM means "**** me"). Simple concept really. A snowball doesn't get smaller now does it?

The future has imploded into the present.
With no nuclear war, the new battlefields are people’s minds and souls.
Megacorporations are the new government.
The computer generated info domains are the new frontiers.
There is better living through science and chemistry.
We are all becoming cyborgs.
The computer is the new “cool tool,” and though we say “all information should be free,” it is not.

Information is power and currency in the virtual world we inhabit, so mistrust authority.
Cyberpunks are the true rebels.

Cyberculture is coming in under the radar of ordinary society.
An unholy alliance of the tech world, and the world of organized dissent.
Welcome to the cybercorporation.
Cyberpunks.

Billy Idol's 'Cyberpunk'.

And with the new technologies that are due to be manufactured sometime in the near future, we shall all be connected. Like a proverbial wiretap to the Deity. And, I might add. All connected to each other.

Given that scenario, it makes me think that someone may oneday produce a new kind of computer virus. Just imagine if we were all connected to each other via an Electronic Interface. If I was a virus writer, (in the future of course) . I could produce a polymorphic stealth virus that would infect the entire population. But, I hear you say. What would a virus like that do ? Well, there would be no need for a payload. Because, a virus like that in the future, could make everybody lose their own load. All at the same time !!! Interesting concept there !!!!!!

Even more interesting, is if one considers the prospect of a virus like that entering into an endless loop !

For x = -1
x = x +1
Print "You and me baby we ain't nothin' but mammals. Let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel"
Next x

Now, if one was adept at the black arts of Furtive Information Technology Procurement (Or Hacking) . Then, one would theoretically be able, in the future, to delete another. Or, as the saying goes, "Targetted for Termination". (Anybody seen Sarah lately ???)

By that stage, we will all be cyborgs !!!

Speaking of which, does anybody know "The Terminators" real name ? I do. Why, its "Alby Beck" of course !!! He even says his name in the movie. Just before he crashes his car through the police Station doors.

Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The terminator wouldn't stop, it would never leave him. It would never hurt him or shout at him or get drunk and hit him or say it was too busy to spend time with him. And it would die to protect him. Of all the would be fathers that came over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only thing that measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice. "By Sarah Connor - Terminator Two [voiceover] "
